Personally I would like to thank you for visiting Groth Accounting and Investments. My name is Robert Groth and I'd love to tell you a little bit about myself and my accounting firm.
First and foremost my history with small business and accounting goes way back. My Dad owned his own accounting firm for over 40 years and my mom who stood by his side was his bookkeeper. I was the little kid that all the clients got to know while Dad was doing taxes for small businesses owners in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
In 1995 I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee with a BA in Accounting, Business and Human Resources. Later on I received numerous certificates on investing and later became an Enrolled Agent.
In 1996 I married my wife Christine and soon after became the Dad of twin daughters Alexandria and Caroline. Our daughters are 13 years old and we reside in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
My wife Christine (taking advice from her husband) became a small business owner in 1998. Opening a family daycare in our home was the perfect way for her to stay home with our daughters and make some money too. Naturally being an accountant I understood the importance of knowing all tax laws that effected the childcare owner. Over the next 10 years I became the leading expert in the childcare field caring for over 150 childcare owners.
Over the past 15 years I've established close relationships with hundred's of individuals. Those just looking to get their yearly taxes done, and others who are small business owners who are looking for a professional that they trust and have a long term relationship with.
